Clocks on GPS sats run faster than their Earth bound counterparts because they are higher up out of Earth's gravity well. That speeds those clocks up much more than the velocity of the GPS sats slows the clocks down (which is negligible).
17.46 km/s is not close enough to light speed for significant time dilation, but the fact that Voyager is so much further out of the Sun's gravity well, the on board clocks of Voyager would certainly be ticking faster than clocks on Earth. Gravitational time dilation even has to be accounted for on GPS satellites and they're much closer to Earth (and the Sun).
Thank Giorgio Maone for NoScript.
Why would anyone spend $1000.00 on an ugly ass phone with a crotch in the middle of the screen that can't even render web pages correctly? How 'bout web designers just tell Apple to get stuffed?
This is persecution. The Trump regime is targeting Muslim airports for persecution. They want to inconvenience flyers in order to dissuade them from coming to the U.S. There is no threat at all. And if you still believe Donald Trump at this point then you're a lunatic.
Reading that the headers are injected into upstream traffic, so there seems to be little that can be done by the end user to protect their privacy. It would be nice if the FTC could level crippling fines on Turn and Verizon. Ideally, Turn should be fined out of business and Verizon should be fined to the point of being unable to turn a profit for several years.
American journalists do NOT take a vow of objectivity. Most of them have no idea what that even means.
Windows 10 is FYaaS!
Microsoft invited lawsuits when their software started acting like malware.
Ad servers have a rich history of infecting hapless site visitors with malware. Using ad blocking software has become a basic security measure. The advertisers have only themselves to blame for that.
The string between the cans must have broken.
It should be illegal to sell or give away customer information. I'm sick of being the product.
Opting out from every company that wants to sell our personal data is completely unreasonable. It just needs to be illegal with criminal penalties for the management that implements such policies.
Once had a secretary just outside my office that liked to stream country music a bit too loud for my tastes (read: audible at all). I put three buttons on my taskbar: volume up, down and mute that used PSExec on her PC to control her volume.
Let's hope the austerity embracing capitalist countries can keep up!
CNS "News" and the Washingtimes?!? No wonder you're so clueless. Both of those sites traffic in outright lies.
This article is heresy! American bacon is delicious! Sounds like the U.K. needs some freedom!
In the U.S. it depends entirely on the laws of the state one is in. It varies.
Meddling with users' news feeds to manipulate their emotions is what Fox "News" does everyday!
Most Tor nodes are operated by the U.S. government.
The NSA eats SSL for breakfast.
This is how the Cyanogenmod granular control works. It supplies dummy data to the apps.
Win8 seems to have been primarily designed by Microsoft's marketing dept. Functionality for business desktops just didn't seem to be a consideration at all.
All Microsoft had to do was release the tablet UI as just another Windows application that ran at startup on tablets. Forcing Desktop users to use a touchscreen UI is just mindnumbingly stupid.
Many VHS tapes had Macrovision copy protection.
Agreed. The problem isn't Android per se, it's junkware installed on junk hardware that's the problem. I think the variety of good hardware and good software available to Android users makes it a superior platform!
Porn was made available on VHS.
As a Backup Exec 11d user (actually happy with BE), What would be a good replacement to run on Windows Server 2008R2? I just need to backup Exchange 2010 and some file servers.
I had such high hopes for Lindows. 'tis a shame it didn't succeed.
You may be able to sue them under the American Disabilities act for non-compliance. Worth looking in to.
I have IMAP access to Gmail set up with Thunderbird. Thunderbird would not connect to Gmail this morning. I was able to login via web, but it was noticeably sluggish.
In a country of over 300 million people with over 7.5% unemployment and STEM graduates that cannot find jobs, this constant drum beat by corporations demanding foreign labor because "there aren't enough qualified people to be found locally" is a damned LIE!
Foreign labor is brought in to work for cheap. Period.
The number of H1B visas granted annually should be drastically reduced to only a few thousand or eliminated enitrely.
GBL Initialiser, I supposed you've never muted the volume on your TV nor changed the channel when an ad appeared?
I think you'll find the Secret Service to be professional and quite cordial.
Let us know how it goes!
No. Sound is dependent on the observer. Sound is nothing more than how air vibrations are modeled in the mind. Without an observer capable of modeling those vibrations, there is no "sound".
Android haz itz: LUKs Manager
LUKS Manager provides on-the-fly encryption (AES by default) to virtual folders on Android devices.
Hope Oracle meets the same fate.
No, in the U.S. anti-trust case it was the fact that M$ started bundling IE for free and illegally used their effective monopoly to eliminate the market that Netscape was selling their Navigator product to.
Where paramilitary raids and pet executions have become common.
And if the guy that founded the suckiest antivirus software evah doesn't involve himself in politics then he shouldn't bitch when politics involves itself in you! All that is necessary for Evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing.
I know that whenever I want to reverse-transcribe a genetic system, TNA is always at the top of the list!
Software patents should be eliminated entirely. A patent on "slide to unlock" is absurd. We've been "sliding to unlock" things for centuries. That is is done with software now is in no way new and unique. All these patent wars do is raise the prices for consumers.
I've used Unlocker for years to, um, unlock files. It works great for most files (sometimes it will prompt you to let it unlock a file after a reboot).
I read Troy Scheffler's letter. Unfortunately, it sounds like your average Bush follower here in the States. Pretty typical rant that could just as well have been heard on Fox "News". I fail to see how his letter got him suspended given the fact that a solid 25% of America holds similar right wing, gun nut, racist beliefs. He's just parroting what he's heard from Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Michelle Malkin, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Michael Savage, Glenn Beck, Wayne LaPierre, Dennis Prager, Virgil Goode-- the list goes on and on...
It's a pretty typical screed here in Jesusland.
