Compensation?
When the mains frequency changes in either direction, is there an adjustment period to bring the average frequency back to normal?
I mention this because I built a digital clock in 1972 (ish) from TTL logic chips (14 pin and 16 pin) all housed in a small die-cast box.
The input frequency was mains derived through a Schmitt trigger.
The hardest part was the reset from 12 to 1.
