what problem is it solving?
I don't recall the last time I saw a system crash in Linux, nor why having /dev (with a device for the root partition) mounted under / is an absurdity. Most recent major problems seem to be in the cpu, rather than the os. As for complaining about "everything is a file", it's as silly as the systemd arrogance of "lowercase command names are old-fashioned". Oh, I hate NetworkManager.
