Gmail predictive text isn't so bad. Sometimes you need to work with people who have jobs where they think that sending and receiving inane emails and touching each others bases is the most important thing, and measure your performance based on whether you reply promptly to their inane missives rather than actually fixing things.
Often gmail will almost totally write the whole thing for you - "Absolutely Mr TwatMungler, I totally agree. Lets touch base next week and have a status update then." is great, they go away happy and purring because of your attentiveness, even though you've actually just agreed to not even think about what they asked about for another week.
