This country has as much money as it needs, to do most things. You are stuck in a household budget way of thinking about govt spending. A very large proportion of money the govt spends, comes back to it....most of it if you only buy fuel (64% tax) or alcohol (£12 billion in tax on alcohol last year) !
Governments are not households. And they are not businesses.
