Problem is, you're on the defensive end of a siege. Long-term, sieges always favor the attackers because, unlike you, they can work outside the box to find a way no amount of planning can stop. An end-to-end-encrypted link using a key you can't discover seems to be the equivalent of dealing with an adversary able to tunnel through bedrock.
