"So I'll scream about it in my safe space"
Being someone who fits somewhere "on the autism spectrum" (like probably 99.9999% of the population depending on what diagnosis chart(s) you use), I do sometimes feel a bit overwhelmed when around large groups of people.
And I need to get away.
But I do not think I have a "safe space". My favourite bit of "getting away from people" is to use the speed, manoeuvrability and sound of my bike to put much distance between myself and others as quickly as I can. Apparently riding a bike is not safe, so I guess I don't have a "safe space"... But boy* is it fun!
* Apologies if that is somehow an offensive sexist slur to someone....
