Industry reps told the UK taxman everything wrong with extending IR35. What happened next will astound you

I did and found it easy to fly into Europe. Far easier than traveling in the UK. Rates are generally good, you just have to familiarise yourself with the local tax. Working in Europe gave me the impression that the UK is really failing behind in terms of IT, transport, crime prevention, health care and in so many other areas.

On a separate issue I've also noted that "Web Developer" has just been added to the list of critical skills, enabling outsourcing companies to import (bodyshop) more "developers" from overseas. I suspect the large IT consultancies have lobbied for this and maybe this government expects to be able to fill the future IR-35 skill shortage problems with foreign workers! They may discover, like many others have done its not quite as simple as that!
