Processing raw files from digital cameras tends to hammer the CPU quite a bit, especially with 20-45MP being commonplace in DSLRs and CSCs, and especially if you're rendering 100+ raw files into JPEGs. Somewhat of a "niche" hobby, but definitely within the consumer sphere...
