One wonders...
what would have happened if the stuff had been really, really secure, presumably other governments wouldn't have had the excuse to go poking around in them......I guess "This stuff is a bit cheap, not very well made and insecure due to bad software" doesn't attract the attention and £££ that "OMG National Security Chinese backdoors!!!!" does.
