And of course were also used to denote temporary files too so I used to get all sorts of shit when the disks filled up and the system manager wasn't around.People would come to me demanding I deleted my files so their jobs could run. I could of course work out which .TMP files were generated by their jobs and delete them so their jobs would no longer run when I was in the right mood.
