Agree about not loading off-site (3rd party) scripts, or anything else.

The other non-first party resources are frequently trackers which don't belong on a true public/gov't site.

Laziness and perhaps some personal gain are the main reasons that developers link out to 3rd party resources.

When a site relies on these it is also exposing itself to DoS and multiple failures as well as slower loading times.
