There are an awful lot of different iron oxides.

Common rust is Fe₂O₃: iron(III) oxide

Iron II also forms oxides such as FeO: iron(II) oxide or FeO₂: iron dioxide

The fun starts with oxides containing mixtures of Iron II and Iron III such as magnetite (Fe₃O₄)

Here's a few more

Fe₄O₅

Fe₅O₆

Fe₅O₇

Fe₂₅O₃₂

Fe₁₃O₁₉

Some of these can also by hydrated such as ferrihydrite 5Fe₂O₃ ⋅ 9H₂O.

There's a lot more to "Iron Oxide" than rust.
