Broadband over Powerline trials have all largely been abandoned due to the lack of throughput and the massive radio-spectrum interference they generate. VDSL, VDSL2, and G.fast have now picked up that mantra of obliterating the HF radio spectrum; along with those damn PLT devices - which ironically, wipe out the speeds on people's xDSL connections!

Pure fibre to the premises, and its immunity to, and no generation of radio-frequency interference, is the way forward. All other solutions should be thrown in the bin!
