A decent call centre will NEVER, do that. It is pointless.

You are number 10 in the queue.

You are 5000 in the queue.

Which one would you hang up on?

You are number 10 in the queue.......1 person answering a call every 30 minutes.

You are 5000 in the queue......1000 agents handling a call every minute.
