So the list of Google dead projects gets longer and longer. They are in a bubble now so they can do this, but bubbles are not forever and current IT bubble is going to end one day.
Also, on youtube there is a video called "If Google Was A Guy (Part 4)". It touches this fact about Google doing projects and then just ending them.
