If the company you worked for had their shit together they wouldn't need an external consultant for health checks.
Sometimes companies do these health checks as a feel good exercise, most often after a bad experience (outage etc)...
However, a health check is nor a substitide for patch-, performance- and capacity management.... That's an ongoing effort ...
The good thing about the cloud is that providers will at least do the performance and capacity management for you and your detailed bill will show you exactly the resources you are consuming.
