It looks you never did a "root cause analysis". A snapshot of a single instant in an incident may tell not enough and deceive you. Was the autopilot a factor? The fact it wasn't enabled in the instant of the crash doesn't mean it wasn't a factor, if it was enabled before. When it's all about safety, you must be very careful and check and understand everything that lead to an accident. You may be free to rely on unsafe systems just because they make you feel trendy, and kill yourself, but you may also kill other people, and that's unacceptable.
