This issue even occurs when trying to troubleshoot a problem that takes you to a Microsoft Website. I have an Acer W700 tablet that the kids use. I has Dolby sound that caused Windows to moan at every start up and that it should be updated. If you click on the link provided you cannot access the Microsoft Website because your browser (Edge) is not supported. Naturally no other browser works either as it is Windows Update related. You go to Dolby that sends you to Acer that sends you back to Microsoft.
The upgrade broke various games (I know they are old but sometimes the old ones are the best) that pissed the kids off.
