I love this its Microsoft... Better ask " why not x?" Where x is any product other than Microsoft regardless of whether it's actually a good fit.
I'd guess surface because it runs windows.
So it can run office, so it can be used instead of a laptop.
I'm fairly sure that:
A. Some one did a cost benefit analysis.
B. That person isn't an MP
Just because *you* don't like MS/windows doesn't mean that it can't be a good fit.
PS. It says its a surface the OS isn't specified... it could be running Linux for all you know.
