Until your bank can't process your account and you can't buy food...then you might have a different view
Good things came from mainframe - today's virtualisation as an example. Good change process as another. We all owe a lot to what it's given the industry, even if there are still some dinosaurs lurking there.
Perhaps the way forward is to blend the good bits from modern technologies upstream ?
