Sigh - Windows will soon have SSH built in (which is the topic of this forum).

My point is that you (Windows guys) now have other options that are in some ways more powerful e.g. SSH's ability to port forward, and I do not think that you would really go to all the trouble of setting up an IPSEC VPN when one command will do the same job, and can also forward other ports as desired in the same command (which IPSEC cannot do).

It would seem that Windows guys only use the tools they are given, Linux guys build tools to work more efficiently, and they understand the security implications.
