That's not what his fan club say ... from some of the stuff spouted over the years, anything at all against Assange is an attack on Wikileaks and obviously under the influence of the US.
If he had any brains he would've realised what would happen following the W/L disclosures and stayed squeaky clean legally so this sort of thing couldn't happen, or then when charged, stayed and answered the case, and if found innocent then start the grandstanding about extradition. Running off and hiding under the protection of a Convention that no-one outside South America recognises just makes it look as though he has things to hide, not things to talk about.
