The other guy kind of covered this, but what do you think that web browser and back end database are written in? People writing stuff in high level languages that don't require deep understanding isn't exactly a new thing, it's just a couple of decades ago it was Visual Basic. There will always be 'hard' systems languages and 'easy' scripting languages because they address different areas of development.
