    Maybe...

    The price it takes to launch a DDOS is less than the savings that can be made by reducing access to the auction.

    "disgruntled creditors"?

    Bloody stupid ones then. Deliberately hamstringing the asset auction, thus ensuring that the best price will not be achieved and the number-of-pence-in-the-pound any creditors may eventually get will be lower?

    Hint: If you're looking for a culprit, start with a list of those who stand to gain something from this DDOS attack rather than those most likely to be screwed over as a result.

    It could of been done by a creditor so low on the list, that they will not get paid .
