The former TV parenting guru leading a government review into violent video games and internet predators says parents need to get their kids out of the house if they want to keep them safe from net creeps. Dr Tanya Byron, former overseer of The House of Tiny Tearaways, said over-protective parents were partly to blame for …

    Heretic !

"over-protective parents were partly to blame"

Anyone criticising parents and their hysterical, tabloid fuelled hive-mind will be dealt with accordingly as a heretic.

Tanya (Mmmmm.... Tanya) may understand kids but she hasn't a clue about adults.

All these Supernanny, Tearaways type programmes show that it's ALWAYS the parents that need to change. The thing is they very rarely like being told that.

This approach is going to come back and bite her in the.. (Oooh biting Tanya on the... err sorry)

Knowing what the problems are doesn't mean that it is possible to get the hedonistic, self-indulgent public to do anything about it.

but that's what happens nowdays when kids do kid things.

I remember the good old days when me and my mates would go around the woods bashing each other with sticks (they were light sabers or fighting poles or swords depending on the situation - and by the time we were 12 they were rather large bits of tree) I also remember throwing apples at wasp nests (o that was a long and bitter summer of warfare - Us vs the angry wasps) in the orchards. *yawns* Good times, then there was the war against the other kids that had taken over our base in the woods (those woods seemed huge when we were 7 - they're gone now but by the time we were 12 they were pretty small) victory in the war lead to the liberation of the great porn stash.

    Good times good times.

Anyway yeah it's 98% the parents fault when their kid is a fucking tool. Often kids who arn't tools end up suffering from societies general stupidity though.

    Has anyone noticed

Jo "supernanny" Frost is getting a bit heavy these days, don't you think? Such a shame, back when she was fitter there was a nice dominatrix undercurrent there. Nowadays she seems to be directing all her urges towards acquiring another pie.

    Superior race

Don't most predictions of the future include this: "As their intelligence developed, they found less use for a strong phsyique and so their bodies dwindled and became puny."? Par for the course for the human race, we appear to have put the cart before the horse and started dwindling our bodies before we developed our intelligence.

Me, I was born up a chimney and only allowed out for my beatings. Meals were a small plate of dirt and, at Christmas, I got a glass of water to wash it all down.

Kid's still bash each other with sticks only now they there called baseball bats . Instead of toy guns it's the real thing. But our beloved leaders say crime is lower so it cannot be a crime .
