back to article Adobe bakes secure P2P into Flash

The P2P arms race is warming up, with Adobe adding secure P2P communications to its latest beta version of Flash, 10.1. The addition of Adobe's closed RTMFP (Real Time Media Flow Protocol) gives developers the ability to stream data to endpoints without going through a central server. Flash has already had P2P support as part …

    P2p kneejerk reactions

Having sold their souls to the media industry, the almost hysterical reaction of the current government when anyone even mentions P2P should lead to some interesting squirming from the Home Office when legitimate companies/products start to use P2P services on a widespread basis.

It will no longer be able to automatically demonise any and all users of the technology and may actually force them to think about what it is they are actually trying to achieve rather than just provide air cover for corporate copyright revenue streams.

You see fail, I see opportunity!

    All this inovation

Adobe just never stops using the features of the internet that were there from the start, and belittling them.

Whatever next - a page markup language that doesn't turn your 21stC computer into a 19thC typewriter?

    OMG no no no

Worse app on the internet security wise (flash) + P2P (so advertisers don't even have to use bandwidth to annoy us, plus will add even more security holes to flash) = EPIC fail, OMG come on Google open source that damn codec so we can get the HTML 5 ball rolling and can finally give the finger to the worse major software company in the industry (Adobe blows and sucks at the same time).
