This kind of this is SUCH a waste ... why is it allowed to continue?

"Policy Studies Inc. - a Colorado-based company that develops health care, child support, and other programs for various public and private agencies - uses Skytap for test and development as well as employee training."

    Why? Are they idiots?

""We were looking for a way to extend our local network when we run out of local resources," Nate Nelson, the company's manager of database and middleware engineering, tells The Reg. "Some projects have a very short timeline and we don't have the time to go out and buy hardware. Or it might not make sense to go out and buy new hardware when we won't need it three months later.""

Oh. I see. In other words, nobody at Policy Studies, Inc. actually knows how to spec a network needed for long-term R&D, and/or Policy Studies, Inc. and Skytap are in cahoots to separate wealth from taxpayers. Probably both.

Anyone who wants to know why us Yanks have issues with the cost of health care only have to look at outfits like this, leaching money from the masses, with governmental consent. Too much money spent in administration means no money available for health care ... it only stands to reason.

    ARE YOU LISTENING, OBAMA?

    Joke

    Handy for con-sultants everywhere

"Oh, that line item is for the new development network we will need to build the app Minister. Our IT people say our in house network is at at full capacity and you do want those results ASAP."

"Joe, check the pricing for another dozen HP servers. No we'll get the capacity off the cloud and bill for the hardware, same as always."

    Easy money
