I suppose now synch is out of the way, the next project Mozilla will be working on is a revolutionary integrated personal server that lets a fanboy share data without going through capitalist social networking sites or other ad-sponsored hosts.
And after that we can expect them to rework Firefox as a 'Widget Runtime' that will allow you to install HTML5 widgets on your desktop as though they were real apps, and run them without needing the browser open.
I've been using weave since 0.4, I think, and AdBlock too for ages. No conflicts here. I could only find one forum post dating back to Weave 0.2 about such a conflict, but hey.
As for the haters who are being kind enough to inform us that Opera already does this, who cares? There was a time when most browsers didn't have tabs, or whatever other feature you care to name. If Opera really was there first, then kudos to them, but I want this feature on the browser I use. Get over it.
Mozilla is the tip of the iceberg, comrade. There are millions of stupid, pathetic, rip-off idiots out there working on browsers that aren't Opera. God I hate them. Why don't they all just give up and admit, publicly, that Opera is and always will be the only browser anyone could ever need? Beats the hell out of me.

Anyway, wouldn't it be nice if we saw a genuine innovation coming from Mozilla? They've a lot of very talented developers working on Firefox but recently all they've been doing is playing catch up with features from other browsers, and trying to get the thing to speed up somehow. Which is nice - these are good, worthwhile, things to be doing - but I'd hate to see the browser market stagnate again.

I mean if its good that Opera has it and then Firefox also implements it, thats not a ding for Opera but confirmation/praise that Opera was right?
In a way it is actually better that Firefox implements it really, as this great feature will then be of use to the much larger Firefox user base.
I mean if its only in Opera then not many people are ever actually going to use it are they...
That would depend on whether Mozilla's "praise" goes as far as admitting as much (like Google have with Chrome) or if they pass it off as an original innovative feature that's only in Firefox (as they did with spacial navigation and tabs) and then accredit themselves to having created it thereafter, whilst the fanboys eagerly keep vigil on Wikipedia to ensure no one tampers with their view of history.
Otherwise, of course it's a good thing, and high praise indeed, just like we all have scrollbars and menus.
I actually like Weave and have helped out a little with some bugs it had. It is less obtrusive than Xmarks which has turned from a simple useful bookmark sync tool to an obtrusive irritating addon I don't like any more. I hated when xmarks started to interfere with my search results and popping up that annoying window when it synced my bookmarks.
