    EU Database laws

    If this was the US, where there is no 'Database right', he would still have no entitlement to the database of his former employer since it would be a trade secret and covered by his employment contract.

    So that database right adds nothing of value.

    Except that's the law which he has been found guilty of breaking, so yes it does. Think again.

    Our laws might be slightly different from yours but the end result here is the same, so stop trying to criticise - otherwise someone is bound to bring up a list of all those idiotic US laws...
