    What a stupid scheme, wouldn't it be better to try to no pollute that much in the first place.

    I'm sure that even at the corporate level there is the equivalent of not letting the water running whilst brushing.

    The money raised will be waisted by some idiots in brussels trying to figure out how to assess the assessment method of assessing the level of damage that the said pollutant is causing.

    That being said the exact nature of the pollutant cannot be disclosed because of industrial patent ...

    Looks like ethanol to me more problems created than solved.

    Even if it was implemented...

    It's obviously pointed at small businesses as Big Corp. Plc. will carry on regardless because of immunity due to the "Sir" or "Lord" that just suddenly became a member of the board.

    I can understand the need to prevent pollution - but criminalising it is not the answer.

    The regulation does suggest that it is the cost of cleaning up the shit which is to be put on the company which illegally dumps it. What exactly that has to do with "imaginary costs" or "waisting money on some idiot in brussels" is beyond me.

    Obviously corruption exists - but that is not for me reason enough to give up completely on the idea of having a civil society. As for the actual implementation of this scheme here in the uk I am sure that it will most likely be a complete fuck up - just as so many other things...

    Education is an answer? Sorry but this is the UK - when did you last reflect over the quality of real world education in the UK and concluded that it is delivering politically advertised results?
