      ...maybe Pure will now become an even more attractive acquisition target for IBM, whose in house storage portfolio is also way past its sell-by date.

    Isn't FlashBlade a scale out filer? What am I missing here?

      It is but very limited in protocols (NFS and s3) and meant for data throughput and not serving a gazillion users on half a million different clients.
