    Spam Posing as News. Is there a good synonym for 'news' beginning with m? 'media' is a bit too general.

    How many companies *actually* have wildly fluctuating server needs?

    Is it really cheaper to rent space with someone else if you have a fairly steady need and can purchase your own capacity that covers your own needs + maybe a slight buffer?

    You still need to pay for the same capacity with the other company, plus their profit margin.

      And factor in that prices will rise whenever they need to show "growth", or otherwise please the shareholders.

        Indeed. The real question is whether it is easier to switch cloud providers (servers) than serverless functions. I'd bet on the former, although neither vertical is particularly competitive due to enormous entry barriers.
