back to article Devs: This is another fine Mesh you've got us into, Microsoft

From the department of "things punted to public preview before they're totally ready" comes Azure Service Fabric Mesh. Microsoft emitted Azure Service Fabric at the end of March 2016, aimed at managing stateful and stateless microservices over hundreds of servers in the Azure cloud. Redmond proudly stated that the technology …

Shame they cant make Azure Service Fabric Highly Available. Makes it unfit for Prod workloads given the recent outages. Come on Micro$oft you have availability zones in West Europe, why not expand it to more than just VM to some PaaS services as well...

      Not Highly Available?

        Re: Not Highly Available?

Azure Availability Zones provide redundant isolated zones within a region. There are available in Azure West Europe... but, they only support VMs not other PaaS services. One issue with the Region and BOOM, you just lost Service Fabric.

Deployment of a fabric cluster involves deploying VMs. What prevents you from making them highly available?

        2. Cloud, what..... Sorry... Um... - you just made that up.

          Re: Not Highly Available?

Surely its a PaaS service you dont get availability zones as they are for IaaS where you worry about the infrastucrure.

You want PaaS you get an SLA, thats the way it works.

Unfortunately you cant control the placement of VMs with Service Fabric. So no Availability Zone option, and doesn’t look to be on the road map in the near term 
