The Grand Theater
I love to watch politicians doing what they do best.
They are just high paid actors/actresses that were not "pretty" enough for the big screen.
The shows they act in are just reruns that date back to the dawn of civilization.
The storyline and the subjects are always the same, only the names have been changed to protect the (not so) innocent.
The Producers of the show are never mentioned or seen...It is the Directors job that it remains this way.
There is always something that will appeal to the audience...Heros and villains (which often switch roles or are viewed differently depending on where you're seated in the audience)
And if someone tries to look behind the curtain an impromptu horror scene is acted out to recapture the attention and focus of the audience.
But the show always ends the same and never varies.
After the last act, when the curtain is drawn and the house lights go dark, the theater is forgotten and left abandonded as another show just like the last starts at Act 1.
Occassionaly we come accross some of these old abandoned theaters where the shows played out. Lost and forgotten as this one will be too.
