Seriously, am I missing something here?
I guess that:
- Occasional social media users probably don't care about the few messages/photos they posted;
- Heavy social media users won't think about erasing their profiles;
- Heavy social media users who worry about backups already use one of the mentioned tools;
- Me and other grampas are thinking "social what now?".
Who is the intended target? Gubmints?

I think we'd be surprised at how many people think that social media and the Internet, etc. is forever. I have a friend who's Instagram account got hacked and the hacker/script kiddie wiped out everything. When she finally got control back, Instagram had diddly-squat that they could restore. She was rather upset as all her precious photos were gone. Back-up... she heard of it vaguely somewhere..... but still deleted the photos from her PC after uploading...
