      Seriously, am I missing something here?

      I guess that:

      • Occasional social media users probably don't care about the few messages/photos they posted;
      • Heavy social media users won't think about erasing their profiles;
      • Heavy social media users who worry about backups already use one of the mentioned tools;
      • Me and other grampas are thinking "social what now?".

      Who is the intended target? Gubmints?

        I think we'd be surprised at how many people think that social media and the Internet, etc. is forever. I have a friend who's Instagram account got hacked and the hacker/script kiddie wiped out everything. When she finally got control back, Instagram had diddly-squat that they could restore. She was rather upset as all her precious photos were gone. Back-up... she heard of it vaguely somewhere..... but still deleted the photos from her PC after uploading...

    So you're backing up from one on-line service to another, not to somewhere under your own control. Why? Oh, I see - cloudz.

    Fee Structure Unclear

    For US$1.99 a month you'll be able to back up all four.

    So you pay $1.99/mo forever or they delete the backups?

    Or do you pay $1.99 for each month's worth of Data you backup?
