Could this also be used for "described video" so blind people can watch porn too?
AI gives porn peddlers a helping hand
A new "AI" application could save pornography sites hours of grunt work. The neural network "Miles Deep", released under the GPL, claims to classify each second of a porn clip of a sexual act with 95 per cent accuracy. Miles Deep could also be used to make clips "safe" for viewing. "It can remove all the scenes not containing …

Lack of Research
That's a very short list of sex acts. Have they actually seen any porn that was produced after the 19th century or did they limit their "training data" to a series of French daguerreotypes sourced from a specialist collector?
Where's the wanking, fingering, anal, fisting, pissing, frotting, bondage, dp, ball-sucking, spanking, footjobs, dildo's, butterscotching and the now-legendary reverse Dutch steamboat?
This is like the AOL list of sexual acts. Still it could be quite funny to let it loose on YouTube. Can't wait till a video of Nigella Lawson preparing a Turkey roast gets flagged as a fisting vid.

Re: Lack of Research
I always fail to be impressed by people trying to brag about their amazing knowledge - that middle paragraph would have been funny if it had been shorter and less explicit because the name of that last one is either brilliantly made up or genuinely silly.
It's not prudery, I just don't want to be put off my lunch.

Personally, I was more put off by the inappropriate apostrophe in "dildo's".

Ditto - but I'm slightly annoyed that the Urban Dictionary page for (Reverse) Dutch Steamboat mentions the Sorcerer's Apprentice, but with no link to a page to reveal what that is.
I'm guessing it might involve brooms (or broom handles).
Or buckets.
Or both.
I wonder if Paris knows?

Just copy and paste into the search bar. To save you the effort, it's cleaning/stimulating your partner's arse-crack with your own hair. Don't really get the point, myself; but as it's something I never intend to get closer to than reading about, that's fine.

- I only had the vaguest idea of most of them, especially the last.
Although I did experience a Homer Simpson moment at 'Butterscotching'
It's funnier because it's longer and more explicit, look up Monty Python, particularly Cheese Emporium, Medical love song and the Travel Agent Sketch.

Re: Lack of Research
It's a creditable effort to recognise even that short list of acts to the claimed degree of accuracy, though, give them some credit. But if there's one thing the internet's not short of, it's source material to test this application on, so I imagine it will improve fast if it's being actively developed.

With the tories, the only approval is them watching everything you, just in case you might do something (I'm not convinced labour have killed new labours plans in that direction either).

Probably needs sub-categories
Possibly based on location, gender, ethnicity and voting preference.
Don't want those down home white Christian (other religious fundamentalists are available) types watcing single sex and/or mixed race action.
By mistske, at least.
Master level is tests such as "only if it is a really good looking horse" and the like.
At least you can now blame the application if you request only chaste kissing but forget to specify where.

"AI" (as we are now obliged to call any piece of code with a conditional expression)
We're obliged to call it AI if it contains a conditional expression that wasn't put there by a human. So it's reasonable to call this AI because it's a trained neural net.
It's an odd definition I'l grant you because if someone hand coded all the decision weights then perhaps we wouldn't call it AI even if it was functionally identical. That's a bit too metaphysical though really because it's not possible in practise.

Re: And in other news
As the creator of this project and a self proclaimed feminist, I take this comment seriously. Getting more women involved in the sciences and computer science in general has always been an important goal to me. I'd hate to think this project would hinder that effort, and perhaps it does.
People tend to write solutions for problems they know, and that's why many apps cater to wealthy urban white men. That's why it's so important to have many diverse coders. I still want to share what is meaningful to me.

The problem I have is how the page jumps around while loading. I'm just in the process of clicking on ASIAN, when the page suddenly jumps and the cursor lands on GAY. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it can be a bit traumatizing.

Suggestion for all AI projects using neural nets...
Once they've got the neural net fully trained, they should run it through the Google Dream algorithm to visualize exactly what it's focusing on in the videos.
It might be very informative, if not addictive.
It might become a new genre itself.

NSFW clickbait
This is a load of bollocks. Seriously, all they've done is grab Berkeley Caffe and pointed it at porn videos. Unfortunately, there really isn't anything to see here.

Re: NSFW clickbait
Thanks for the constructive criticism. The main contribution of my work is a framework for classifying video with any Caffe model quickly, using batching and threading in C++. This isn't in Caffe's examples and is the only open-source framework I know of that accomplishes this task.
Also I didn't simply point Caffe at porn. It took a long time to generate quality data, and it wasn't exciting it was tedious. I've compared many different models including some using Tensorflow and modified the learning methods and parameters with a lot of compute time for each run.

Possible good use here?
Thanks to the poster about organizing the hard drive for sparking this thought. I wonder if this could be used to screen your collection to make sure there's nothing in there you didn't expect.
A guy I know downloads porn clips, and only has a thumbnail and brief description to base download/no-download on. Sometimes he's been startled to find something else in the clip he wasn't expecting and did not want to see, possess, or be arrested for. Could be a nice CYA to ferret out the dodgy bits. Not unheard of for laptops to be copied and scanned by cops and border screeners.
