    Is HTML5 any better under fire? Does it have privacy issues? Sincerely asking, since I get leaping out of the Flash pan, but where are we landing?

      Nobody knows yet. We hope the browser programmers learned from Flash and have done their job with security as the top priority, but I'd imagine somebody's out there with a fuzzer to see how high, thick and well built the wall is. Give it a couple years and we'll know for sure.

    Interestingly, Angler was a bit behind the curve on this one. The Neutrino and Magnitude kits were exploiting it several days earlier. Neutrino took first place this time, with the exploit first appearing just nine days after release of the patch.

    Such exploits wouldn't work except for the defective nature of the underlying winTEL platform.
