    Most criminals get caught due to ego

    Repeating the same crime over and over, bragging about it, or lack of covering their tracks due to the belief they are invincible.

    Their own stupidity is their downfall.

    The ones you have to watch out for are the ones who do this and don't brag about it.

    35 years in the slammer will do him good

    The execs at the bank should also do 5 years in the slammer for failing to properly secure their servers after they were advised of the security breach.
