    Good luck with that

    Consumers in the U.S. are essentially braindead and the lying politicians in Washington are screwing the populace blind with outrageous importation of Chinese junk products. Got to keep those Chinese slaves working so that Tim Cook from Apple and other CEOs can get paid tens of millions annually in compensation.

      It's the free market at work. If consumers have to choose between a £400 domestically-manufactured product and a £100 Chinese product, which will they buy? Even if the Chinese one only lasts half as long, it's still better value. Especially in tech, where things tend to become obsolete before they break down.

    Anyone who thinks the Chinese are our friends is suffering from serious delusions. We WILL be at war with them...in 20 years, in 50, in 100...the Chinese are in the game for the LONG TERM and they are NOT going to be friends with "barbarians"!

    Really... and who's believes this "best friends" stuff? True, the States are headed towards more socialism, and more population control. Unless both countries undergo some radical cultural changes and the governments change their cultures... won't happen.

    China will prop up our economy soon enough

    They'll have no choice: if the US economy tanks badly enough, not only will they lose their biggest customer but they'll have no way to collect on all that debt they bought. Trying to repossess any part of our country won't work as our government won't give up any place useful like the West Coast (technology) or the Gulf coast (oil refining) or most of the Rectangle States (agriculture) or the East Coast (finance and Federal govt.). They might give China Idaho and laugh their asses off as the Chinese try to deal with all the survivalists holed up in the mountains or maybe Florida and let all the old people run them over at 3mph. So the Chinese are fscked.
