    I was quite find of Mr Brush, but not his foils

    I didn't warm to the sidekicks, but Basil himself was alright (when I was eight)

      Well (in my opinion) Rodney Bewes and Derek Fowlds were better suited as actors than in light entertainment.

            Now how many neurons is that utterly useless piece of information taking up? I have forgotten nearly all the maths I once knew (which was quite a lot) but I can remember what a panda hand puppet I last watched in the 70s was called.

    It might be "Basil Brush Official" on YouTube

    There's a YouTube channel called Basil Brush Official which looks to be the right place: a clutch of new videos last Monday, promotional material for the recent live tour, and set up with a Twitter account.

    It's not hard to find. I hear the YouTube owners have some sort of search engine.

    It's all Basil's fault

    It was from him I learned to tell excrutiatingly bad jokes. Sometimes five and five back to back, hoping to impress my family and friends.
