While you are at it, why not lay off some of the security tokens your apps seem to demand these days. Words with friends is just frightening in what it now asks for.

    Zynga?

    Zyn-gone.

Unsurprising. I'm wondering whether I'm the only one for whom that name is an anti-brand. A reason to NOT buy something.

    Bad timing

A little over a month ago 'Bah Zinga' would have been a way better headline.

    Meh

    Careful now

Careful Zynga, EA might sue you saying you stole their business model of firing staff and buying up smaller developers so you can fire their staff as well.

Ah, but Zynga can then sue king.com for stealing the clone-game-and-beat-to-release business model.

Mine's the one with the USB containing my Candy Jam game backup in the pocket.

    Fun and Games?

I used to see how far I could get with Zynga games before it got to the point where it was impossible to play without dozens and dozens of 'friends'.

I never really went for the idea of 'Friend Farming' just to enable me to get to the next level/award/ special item., and I sure wasn't paying for anything, either.

Re: play without dozens and dozens of 'friends'

That part didn't bother me. I set up a fake FB account and friended anybody who came along that was playing the same games I was. I was even up to the point where I was willing to drop $10-$30/month in cash on a game. There are people making the games and the people deserve to pull down a decent salary.

Where I drew the line was when given that I had the necessary friend farm, when I logged in I still couldn't play the games because the servers were too overloaded. That, and that "playing" the game was getting to be more like work than work was.

    Redundancy

I wonder as they have no cash if the redundancies will be their virtual currency

    How long will it be...

before we see The Register coming up with puns to descibe just how quickly Zynga are swirling around the bowl aas they get flushed into the dead game company sewer.
