looking to get bought by HDS?

Seems kind of odd to seemingly only support HDS storage. Probably will make a pretty big dent in the cost vs the competition. Always nice to have an option to use good storage.

Would probably be hard to have 99.999 % uptime with HP EVA or what they call it these days.

The HDS Speaton OEM has been going for a few years now, It's not about 5 nines, who needs that kind of guarantee on a backup device. HUS is a good fit because it's solid but pretty basic on features and that's generally reflected in the price (like EVA), so it makes for a decent cost effective backend.

Good luck justifying VSP as the backend.....Erm yep that backup box we just priced was twice the cost of our primary storage...not going to fly that..
