    Future versions could pick up swearing and apply a gentle reminder current straight into your face to discourage such behaviour. "Blue" tooth indeed. One step closer to the swearing fines from Demolition Man, except you can't get away from the monitoring without applying some pliers.

    But now imagine some company building a Bluetooth with say 128GB of wirelessly powered memory, or just use some sort of kinetic power cell charging an ORB as data access would likely be infrequent.

    Ran out of space during a LAN meet/etc? No working projector for a presentation? No problemo.

    Pull out the BT dongle and plug it into any old composite/VGA/etc monitor and voila!

    Change pages by customisable movement, simples.

    Also relevant, it could be fitted with a forward facing LED lamp for those times you are walking home at night and forgot your torch or it ran out of batteries.

    The BT dongle could be on a keyring, for PCs without it built in natively.

    A lot of TV/etc monitors also have RF In so the dongle could encode the data as a OFDM stream and transmit it on ultra low power mode so the onboard antenna would pick it up.

    This has the advantage of working on TVs without physical access as nearly every one made has channels dedicated to the channel search mode so just tune it to one of those.

    Any old remote control could then be used as the remote, just have it "learn" when it receives a new signal using on screen display as the training aid.

    Kickstarter anyone?

    It'd also be possible to track ambulatory locomotion to a fair degree.
