    Sprint runs the private network that is used to spy on all american voice and data communications. Read up on CALEA. I am surprised that the Feds would allow foreign ownership.

    The FCC should have taken Sprints own words and denied it access to Clearwire. Sprint has lobbied against all other consolidation in the Mobile carrier space. Shouldn't their own words say that to spur competition would mean MORE choices? That is exactly what the Sprint argument was. The FCC should have taken their words and used them against them. Sprint is all for consolidation when it suits them but against it in cases where it doesn't. Sure that is part of business, but Sprint should be held to their words.

    Yes, those guys.

    That being said, Softbank might be in a good position to lots of nice things seeing as they've recently had some success with the spectrum over here in Japan as well.
