Symantec UK bosses must redraft their master plan to layoff Brit workers - after their first proposal was rejected by the US top brass for not cutting far enough, sources claim. It will need approval ...

... first by the UK Sovietlike Socialistic Hegemony of Senior Management Classes.

There are three usual membership cohorts: fully publicly funded, fully privately funded and mish-mash of each.

The branch one is elevated into depends upon the corporation one belongs to.

(Recent bad news for goggle and Apple indicates that these organisations are not represented on UKSSHSMC)

    Dear Symantec

F**k Off and go back to that dark deep chasm from whence you came.

I still bear scars on my very soul from the pain of having to remove Symantec's crudware from my machine. I think nuking the disk from space did it

Symantec's done more for PC sales than a new version of Windows ever has

I often wondered if PC makers gave backhanders to Symantec for making fast machines slower and slower until the poor user decided (prematurely) that it was time to upgrade!

    Winfax Pro

I first came across Symantec when I bought that software from them, donkeys years ago. It was a tiny company then. Now it's a major multinational specialising, as my fellow honourable commentators have intimated, in an antivirus software application which is noted for one particular property (see above). The corporation has grown so big, it thinks nothing of axing 1,700 jobs, which is the equivalent of the working population of a small town...It's a bit overwhelming.

Symantec didn't write Winfax - they bought Delrina.

Sadly, I have nothing further to add to this story.

And we can expect to see the cost of their bloatware to come down in light of their cost reductions???

    No???
