    Eh?

    Why would they have a problem with a Japanese company taking over a large mobile player, if they didn't have a problem with Vodafone owning half of Verizon? I can't think of many companies that I would prefer to take over a local telco than Softbank.

      Probably because they were worried that Softbank might object to standing, 20 year old, backdoor access into everything Sprint and they had to wait until someone in a snappy black suit could pay a visit and "talk" with the new owners to ensure they'd play by the rules.

    Supply chain issues??

    Why would the DOJ, Homeland Security, and FBI have any interest in "Supply chain issues"? That's not a national security issue. That's an internal company inventory issue.
