...so does this have anything to do with Harry Harrison's "Skyfall"?

Read by Paul Darrow, of all people. I nearly spat coffee.

Ah yes, Jack FM. Seems to have it in for Basingstoke for some reason.

I want them, at some point, to have his knibbs Darrow in a dialogue with the guy who did the voice for Orac.

The last couple of films have just been generic Bourne clones IMO.

Absabloodyexactly. No patch on Roger Moore.

I don't know what it is with all these rapidfire camera angle switches. Almost like they have to keep the attention span poor kiddies watching by ensuring they will miss something if they check their phone.

Let me guess... a reader poll of the best Q gadgets?

I enjoyed Casino Royale (the new one, not just the David Niven, Woody Allen, Peter Sellers version), Quantum of Solace was just confusing... fingers crossed this new one will make a bit more sense.

      QoS

Quantum suffered really badly, from the writers strike what was happening around that time, which is why it felt like a really dis jointed and half assed story.

I could see what they were "aiming" for, but yeah the execution was kind of screwed up.

Olga Kurylenko makes anything bearable though

Badly edited (the opening sequence could have been great if any shot had been allowed to last for more than two seconds) racist ('Oh save us from thirst, oh white one, we cannot do it ourselves') crap.

When can normal people get a hold of the tune? Any good open market shops to use?

Also, why do you need to pre-order digital media? It's not like they'll run out of stock on release day....

This is a dual media world and if you can buy digitally first then the old plastic discs won't sell.

Gotta keep CDs alive for granny who doesn't have a computer.

Your "digital media" will automatically download to your device after it has been released. This works for books and movies as well. Amazon has the same feature for its kindle products.

007 - Licensed to kill your career?

It's not often that someone does a Bond theme and then sees their career improve. In fact, it's been a very long time since someone did a Bond theme whose best years weren't behind them.

I hope this doesn't mean Adele's bubble is about to burst.

Anyway. Isn't it time that Shirley Bassey had another go, since she's had a bit of a revival in recent years and is still sounding fantastic? She would have been the perfect choice for a 50th anniversary film.

    So much negativity

Bond (yes, the fictional character) is a bit of a British institution. It'll be full of product placement (Heineken instead of Vodka Martini) but some times you have to just accept the world has changed a bit - come on who didn't think the Queen + Bond was one of the best surprises of the opening ceremony ?
