    Well there's no point in re-inventing the wheel.

    It's knowing exactly how those tools work and how to use them that separates the men from the boys.

    It seems strange that in the world of automation that an automated tool would be regarded as second rate.

    As this article clearly states, when an automated process is used by highly skilled individuals it is more effective.

    Afterall you can hammer a screw into wood, but an electric screwdriver will be more efficient

    I dont think theres anything new here - those with little to no skill use tools and scripts , those with more skills use them better.

    Communication and sharing of techniques and tools has been hacker ethos from day 1

    Script Kiddie =/= Hacker

    If the hackers are getting lazy using script kiddie tools, the script kiddies will start calling themselves hackers.

      Don't the skiddies already call themselves 'hackers'? Seems a bit late to try to prevent something that has already been happening for years.
