back to article Google lets youngsters in to Google+. Officially, that is

Google has finally opened the doors of its Google+ social networking service to kids, but was careful to keep their ‘rents onside with new online safety features, as its desperate efforts to catch Facebook continue. The service has up until now been the preserve of adults, although it’s likely that teens have used the site …

    And....

What did you expect Google to do with its own search pages. IF Facebook made it easier and didn't force Google and others to 'Negotiate' indexing and in turn searching results on a semi-regular basis then I'd agree with the intent and tone of this article. Which is clearly that Google is 'Abusing' its search and thus screwing its competition. I tend to disagree. Path of least resistance will always win.

    ZitFaceBook?

What is the Zit about? Do you mean pimpled teenagers? But Facebook already allows teenagers to join.

    Google+ Annoys Me

Google is the new Microsoft. They can't be happy just dominating in Search, they now want to dominate in social and, let's face it, they are late to the game. Of course, Google+ offers some very cool features, but most of us have our social networks all built out in Facebook (personal & business) and LinkedIn (business). As Google+ grows it will ultimately be a place we MUST be, and that annoys me; I don't really want or need another place to be online.

    WTF?

    Right On

Me mum wouldn't let me use the Public Library when I was a kid - I had to wait until I was 16 to get a library card .... it was "for my own protection" of course....

She used to check to see if any "outsiders" has read any of the books I was reading and immediately took them away if someone she didn't know had read the book ...

I hope you have recovered from that misguided 'protection'.

My parents always encouraged me to use the public library. When My first child was about 2.5, I took her to the library near us and she got her first library card.

If I thought a friend of mine was doing to their kids what happened to you, I would try and set them right...

    Ban all kids

It would make the Internet a much nicer place if the little devils were chained to text books and got an education before being turned loose on the net, only after they reached 18. The blooming Internet ought to be an adult place for adults, with porn, booze and cigarette butts all over the place. Just like HOME!
